Kuban on Panzer Backing

I have had this shield in my collection for nearly two years and am thinking of selling. I am fairly confident the shield itself is genuine but not so sure on the backing and in particular the paper. Would appreciate some opinions if possible as to this shield being original one piece or a put together post war. Thanks

Yes those are my thoughts also. I am inclined to think the backing cloth is genuine but I also did not like the look of the paper. Stay tuned for further investigation.

Here are some more pics. I managed to peel away a bit of the paper backing to reveal the back. Your thoughts please.

Kuban type in question almost always comes with the back plate only, which provides an opportunity to attach anything you want to it, even pin stripe cloth.
Besides, you can see for yourself that these side prongs have been messed with on more then one occasion.

Thanks Filip and it as I thought, good shield post war messed with. There's another dealer who will never see a dollar from me. Appreciate the comments guys.
