    Krimschild

    Hello,
I would like your opinions about this shield.
    Thanks a lot!
    Best regards

I am no shield expert, but I think this is an nice original deumer piece, the most common piece. Its the typical design of the 1941 and 1942, the 1 looks really small when you compare them to the other like the 9. Second point is the "street" under the "R" of Krim. The street "stops "shortly before the "R" begins.

IMO original, but no Deumer. My opinion - сloth and paper not the original.

I'd agree with VAS70...replaced cloth and paper. A rare variant though.

There was maybe 15 or more manufacturers of the Krim shield all producing there own variations on a basic design.
Here's a Magnetic Deumer KrimSchild below...hope that helps

Yes surly I know.. but they makers differs in the design of the numbers in 1941 and 1942. Think that the shown variant for example looks absoluty different to Karl Wurster pieces ( design of numbers ). I tought it might be deumer because of the exteme small 1 in 1942.

I agree with Peter and VAS70 here; an original, seldom seen variant, with replaced cloth backing and paper.

Here's another original; note the nap of the cloth backing and how it looks thinner compared to the usual examples by other makers. Also note the typical brown paper backing and how the glue has stained the right-hand area. These traits appear to be very typical of this (unknown) maker.

Still, all in all, this is a nice looking shield not often seen in this condition.

This is not a Duemer Krim however, as these have completely different die characteristics in the details.
