    Schlageter Cuff Title Original?

    Hello,

Can anyone tell if the attached cuff title is original? I am no expert whatsoever in this field and would be glad to hear your opinion. I do not own it and unfortunately do not have any better pictures.

    Regards,
    Sturmvogel

      Hello Patrick,

Great, thank you! It belonged to a Fw 190 D-9 pilot (I saw your signature that was painted also on a Fw 190 D ;-)

      Cheers,
      Roger

Looks good, do you have a picture of the S? There were at least two different types of script used for this letter

            Hi Gene and Andy,

Thanks for your comments! The cuff title is currently on its way to me. The only other photo I have that shows the full cuff title is not a close-up photo. But here it is:

            Regards,
            Roger

My only comment is that Jagdgeschwader Schlageter was JG 26. I can't see why it's in that frame with the JG 54 items.

                  JG 54 didn't have a cuff band.

                    Jg54

                    Hi Mike,

III./JG 54 became IV./JG 26 in February 1945 and this pilot was therefore first in JG 54 and then in JG 26.

                    Cheers,
                    Roger

Interesting lesson of history, but any comment on the cufftitle?
