    Krimshild

Hi, I recently bought these two Krim shield and I'm having a doubt with the authenticity of one of them.

    Here are the pictures.

This one is magnetic, and shows wear.

Here is the second one, and I have a bad feeling with it. For me, the details are not accurate enough and I don't like the head.
    This one is non magnetic.

Sorry, missed that you had two shields here..photoshack.

      Anyway, both original IMO.

First one is good, a known variation but the maker is still unknown. This version has been copied but, yours is original.

The second one looks like an original Deumer Krim shield to me. Not sure 100% on the backing paper on this one, but I think that may be original as well.

        Hi Tim,
Thank you for your answer, I am quite pleased to read that the second is probably original.
Normally the lot with which I received the shields was to guarantee their originality, but you can never be too careful !
What are the exact details to look on in order to recognize a Deumer Krim shield ?
I think the bottom bar of the "2" in "1942" is always a little bit shorter than on others makers, isn't ?

          Hi Loic,

I would recommend you search "Deumer Krims" here in this section and you should find a array of past threads on these. There are various patterns, or levels of wear, on the Deumer shields that kind of separate one from the other. Most have common traits but, there are slight differences and it will be a good learning process for you on this shield you have. The shield (zinc) itself is good, no doubt.

            agree with Tim
            First-unknown producer
            second-producer Deumer .-zinc
both the originals in excellent condition
Deumer has a very specific head of an eagle ,and just as easily be recognized by the figures in 1942
