It is a Kurland cuff title, because that is what the lettering says. Not a ww2 cufftitle however. Jacques

Thanks for the input! I have it on hold with a few $......I'll put the money towards something else. Even though it's looks so poorly made I thought there was a chance b/c I heard some of these were field made rather crudely. Thanks again for the opinions.

Thank you Jacques! That's quite an assortment. Do you know if they are all supposed to be original?

                Yes, they are period pieces.

In my opinion yours is a period made cuff title as well.

However, as the cuff titles shown above and below, it is a field made item and not an accepted official cuff title.

naxos; thanks for the opinions and information. I sure appreciate and need the education!

I'd welcome any further comments on the CT or any guidance in general as I'm not locked into this one and I continue to search. If I get enough positive "vibes" on the one I initially posted below I may choose to negotiate a better price and take a chance on it....crudeness in design/manufacture doesn't trouble me...it's all about the authenticity...

                    ......

I think Naxos's opinion is spot on. it could well be original but bear in mind, you'll struggle to sell it in the future.
If you want to own one of these, go for the accepted style like this one.

Just as an observation, if the first cufftitle posted here is real, it is the ONLY one with a black moose on white shield; on all the others, it's either a white moose on black shield or white on white.
