Also if anyone has any other examples of the darker brown type shown in post number 8 then I would be interested in buying more of that type too.

I just took some pictures for the good discussion that has been. The only things that shines are the top of the AFRIKA text at the back and some on the palmes.

The owner had bought the armband before 1994, he remembered.

black lights are not the end all be all. There are a ton of ways to fool them with chemicals and what not. Its really all in what you are comfortable with. There have been a ton of fakes made pre and post 1994. If you like it then go for it, I have some items that some people may not have a lot of faith in but I am comfortable with them being what they are. To each their own but not an example I would own, its just my opinion and please take it for what its worth. Matt
