The backing is grey. A spesial collector in Norway , told me this shield may be a WH Gebirgstruppe type. Not common.
    100 % orginal..

Of course not. It's made of what looks like CupAl.

Got fresh info today about the shield.

Its a rare variant De Luxe type of Narvik

Ah, just be careful here as this specific type has high quality fakes as well.

Here's one that I returned back around 2004.

And, Detlev posted a "copy of the week" around the same timeframe of this one as well.

I see al lot of simularities between de posted shield and the one Tim posted. I would honestly be fooled if Tom didn't pointed out the fake of the week.

                      Sorry LH

                        Sorry LH

There are a couple of old detailed threads on this style dating back to 2004/5/6??

Thank you Pantherv for the compares.

Byt there is details in my shield differ from the DN shield .

Its very easy to call them fake if you not are 100% sure.

I have zoomed up many shields posted as orginal. But thay also have some variations if you study with keen eye.

I have not payed this shield yet. If its a copy. I just deliver back No problems at all.

Im a Dagger collector. Not Shields. But i want some for my display

Now im sittinge here with an microscope and zooooomming

                              .........

Not saying your shield is a copy but IMO the same type that DN shows and the same shield Tim shows in post #9.

Look at the foot of the '1' in the date numeral....the same lean on the right as you look at it.

                              Maybe wait for other opinions.
