So I just purchased this Narvik Shield and was wondering your opinions in it. I think it looks good but a little worn.

Well Chris,
First, it's not a Deumer for sure. Now, it may be a copy of an original or a very worn and possible later strike original shield. I say that as, some very minor differences exist on this one from the one I shown earlier that I believe is a very well made copy of an original shield.
I'll post PIC's here again of the one that I think it resembles and note the strong similarities. The very minor detail differences in places might be due to the slightly different angle of the shield in the PIC's, lighting/shadows, and wear. IMO, the same type shield.
Now, is it real or not? I am always suspicious of the oil-stained backing paper. Not a death sentence in itself, but with a very weak looking strike (might be wear), I would have to have it in-hand to make a final call on it.

Sorry but your shield is a fake.
This is the same type you also can encounter with the side tabs.
You can find them also with a closed area between the head and the wings.
