    My new KUBAN Shield

    Hi Collectors.

    I just wonder ?
Are there made many variants out of the KUBAN Shields ?
I have notice there is many variations in the finish and other details.

Here is a shield on the way for my collection from a well known dealer in Canada.( lakeside) lands into my collection som days ago

    Opinions are welcomed.

    Some discriptions from the seller:

Oh yea! This is the nicest Kuban I've had in a long while!! Nice example in steel with killer bronze wash. It is unissued but does show some storage wear. Army green wool backing. The imitation leather paper backing is intact. You will be well pleased with this one! Purchased from the Vet's grandson by me! NM

Ahh, the pictures are finally showing. Yes, very nice and though no makers have been positively identified on Kuban's yet, a good guess might be Wurster with that type backing paper.

                    Nice find!
