    Narvik shield from e-stand

Guys, any opinion please? I want to purchase it from e-stand. But I want to be sure. Thank you

I don't think I have seen this type before.
Also the prongs on the back I haven't seen before.

Would be possible to see some pictures of this shield?
Also would like to see a close-up of the head.

            Andrei,

I'm not so sure we can rule this one just yet. The strike is very sharp detail wise.

Not sure of the attachment pin setup though. There are fake Narviks that use this type of pin setup and would cause me concern or at least make me hesitant. The head area looks familiar and we may have seen this type (fake?) before. I don't have my old references handy at the moment.

I reposted the PICS from the estand here for easier viewing and evaluation.

Best I can do with enlargement of these PICS. What do you think Pascal; Filip, Peter?

This is the type that's been faked a lot. I believe you ,Tim ,had one of those in "cupal". Looking at the prongs I have no doubt this is one of those fakes. And just how do you attach the backing plate to prongs like that?
                F A K E IMO

                  Hi Filip!

At first I thought the same thing, but this one is different from that CupAl one I returned.

I will have to dig through my old CD's with reference PIC's and find this one. I agree about the pins and this is one of the main concerns for me on this shield. I have never seen an original Narvik backplate where the holes would be this close together in the center.

IF I remember correctly, this one was discussed several years ago and one of the telltale features was the lettering and numbers looking a but too thin. I do not have those notes anymore though.

                  Tim

Not to derail this thread, just showing the shield Filip mentioned; not the same as the one being discussed here.

                    ......

As Pascal says...would like to see better pics but on balance...a copy IMO.

                    Just look at the lettering..

                      ....

Isn't this one the type you returned Tim...

                        Hi Peter,

I don't want to get too far off track here on this other one, as Josef needs to know about the shield in question so he can either make the purchase or not.

I'm going through an inch of CD's looking for this one if I still have PICS of it.

The one I returned is the one I show and IMO, the copy of an original shield like the one you show (own).

I agree, this is probably a copy, but it is not the same type of shield as the one I posted above, there are detail differences.
