Cholm Shield - opinions requested

Hi Eddie...yes, this is one of mine, thanks for the . The point of posting this scan showing a Cholm shield like this, is it presents the shield (any shield BTW) in the best way to view it. Most campaign shield (especially Cholms) lose detail with flash photography and being slightly off-angle. Classic example is Doug's Cholm posted above...absolutely no way of telling whether this shield's original or not. The Floch fake's good enough to fool collectors.
BTW, still sitting on the fence with your Long 'M'...

Yes there are extremely good fakes of "Short-M"..but not "Long-M".
As I am aware there were no fakes of Long-M ever made or seen that come any close to original examples (unless you can show us one of them).

A comparison between an original and fake Long 'M'. it may not fool an experienced collector but it's probably burnt more than a few people.

OK, no flash may have been used, but compare your images to mine....

Here is another attempt at some photos without flash. I had to lighten them up a bit with photoshop. Hope that there is enough detail to make a clear call on this one.
