Early KM Narvik Shield Opinions Please

    Hello Everybody:

I have this early KM Narvik Shield. The details on the swastika edges are not crisp as the other ones I have searched in past threads. The piece is heavily gold plated and magnetic although the gold does not show well in the pictures due to the lighting.

Any opinions good or bad will be greatly welcomed.

    Kindest Regards,

    John

            Hi John,
I don't think this is an original. First of all it misses the sharp detail you normally expect on a Narvik shield. Secondly I don't like the way and were the prongs are attached. Thirdly I would be very suspicious of any magnetic Narvik shield. I only know of one type which is very rare and definitely not this type.

John, this Narvik lacks the detail of known originals

                  Hi John,
I agree with the others. I do not like that shield at all. Here is my tombac example for a comparison and you can see a night and day difference.

                  Regards,
                  Jody

                    Hi Gene:

                    Thank you for the observations.

Jody...thank you for the comparison photo.

One for the fake archive it looks like.
