    Opinions on Narvik and Lappland Shields

    man,your giant narvik is blowing my mind!! the jurys still out on the lappland shield, if made at all it was done on a local level, and technically postwar!!

      not sure why the Narvik shield is so big, its the same size as the Lappland.

      The lappland shield seems to be made out of tin or something similiar, i
      realise theres pretty much no way to tell if these are original, just wondering
      if seen one the same or if it is a known fake.

              Sorry but the jury is not out as far as the award of Lappland shields go. They were made, we have photographic evidence of their wear. The problem is being able to pin down types to being '45 manufactured in the Norwegian reservations. With this type however there is no question as it's factory manufactured with proper equipment. Not something the men in camps could do.
