      Ok, tell me what's up! Also, when I read your post, I took the back off. Were these always solid, or were some stamped? Because this one is stamped, it looks like at one time it had the normal prongs on the back and later someone added these side tabs.

        These were never solid, always stamped. The shield is copied from a known original type , but you will never see this type of holes in the original.

            The fact of the matter is, it's a known fake and of poor quality too. here is another one of those.

                  Actually I'd say it's an old wool blanket. That's what it would appear to be to me. This thing is corroded. It must of been in the system for a while. Oh well, something to sell for a repro collection or to a re-inactor.
