    Narvik shield, tombak or zinc!

    Hello,

    is it tombak or zinc? For me it´s tombak....maybe I´m wrong...?

    Hi Mathias,

    Although the photography is good I can not be 100% sure. The finish is very good and there is some reflection on the slightly worn edges - sometimes looking silver (zinc) sometimes looking gold (tombak). It needs an honest and detailed hand examination of the slightly worn edges to answer the question. Any silver showing would indicate zinc to me.

    Whatever the basemetal, it's a very nice example!!
