        Hi Mike...since your bumping this thread up and selling the shield, It's worth noting the backing cloth and paper and prongs are IMO not original and the shield was probably quite recently set up in this way.

        But the shield itself is an original Deumer.

          In all the years I collect (24) this is the first black cloth 'Panzer' Krim shield I've seen. It also has been stitched on to something as if worn.... nice shield indeed but likely not originally manufatured and distributed like this. Privately for the black Panzer uniforms? Maybe who knows?

            The shield is 100% original but i dont belive in the backing and the paper

              This is magnetic Deumer Krim which in itself is a rare type. I believe these magnetic shields were not awarded , but sold through LDO. And as we know, one could purchase the shield with or without backing , which is probably the case here. But even if it was purchased with the option of black cloth it would still not make it a factory assembled panzer Krim .
