Hi Carsten,
There is really no need for this shield to be discussed.
This shield is 100% original. You are spot on with your description that this shield is a mid- to late war type shield.
I used to think that this type was made by Deschler but when I was doing some research for my book I discovered that Deschler probably wasn’t the maker of this type.
I hope you understand that I will keep the possible maker of this type until my book is published.
