lorient shield

this is the shield from a man that was a harbour worker for the wehrmacht in lorient during ww2 , the shield is a brass shield , that looks like if it was (i******180;m sorry, i only know the german word) vernickelt , the nickel is missing on some parts and so you can see that the rest of the shield is brass , the front side must have been polished in the past, i know the name of the man who got the shield but i will not post it because his son is still living and pleased me not to do so,the shield had always been in his family

the measure of the shield are : 82mm x 42mm
