is this one offered by the same seller? compare this last one against the the details on the one posted by frank. chest, beak, and wreath details are quite weak. imho, this goes beyond explanation of heavy use. the swastica also looks very thin.

No, the seller is a different one.
I don't like the back, too

      Thanks again,

        Dear Aitor,

Although it is not advisable to compare general detail and craftmanship of shields in between different types (as there are indeed badly detailed and ugly originals), this second type you show is also a known fake. Some more examples:

Many thanks for this quick master on Krim shields !
I am becoming increasingly more and more scared about this world of German militaria Now I have seen a third shield offered at eBay Germany with only a bad photo and a low price, which is also screaming: FAAAKE!
I don't intend to delve deeply into collecting WW2 German militaria but I have recently bought the 'medal box' of a Heer Oberleutnant who fought all the war, from Sudeten to Kurland and I'd like to complete the missing (lost?) awards plus a short style Kurland cuffband which I was unable to purchase
A lot of money but I am not in a hurry The problem is that there is more fake than authentic out there!

John, an e-mail is in its way.
Don, yes I've realized how useful is this forum! The problem is that not always is possible to get minimally accurated pictures or any at all!

Last two shields are both original.
