    Krim shield - opinions please

This shiled I got on ebay a couple of years ago and it quite matches one that was later sold by Detlev, but I can't find his picture now. Is it a good one, and is the maker known?

    Thanks in advance, valter

the reverse... The cloth looks good to me, but the backplate not so good Anyway, I didn't dare to open the prongs to go and see the back side of the shield itself If you the guys thik it's absolutely necessary to evaluate this piece, I'll try.

      Regards, Valter

Wait for Pascal comemnts. He is the shield professional on this forum.

I don't know if I'm wrong, but the shiny look looks unusual. It may be the flash of the camera?

Yes, the shiny look is probably from the flash, the shield is also less yellowish than on the pic.

Hi Valter I believe your Krim is a nice original from the unknown maker . Backplate does look a little strange, but as you say that is down to the flash, and the angle of the pic. All the best

The shield is an original shield. This type of shield is believe to be made by Deumer.

I would advice you not to sepreate the backplate from the shield. There will be no makers marks on the reverse of this shield and there is a good change you will brake the prongs.

As for the backplate and cloth I can't say anything. Both can be real (or not). Most important the shield is good.

Hi Pascal Duemur? Must be the angle of the pic but i never thought it to be a Duemur. The eagles head looks different or is it wear. Are you sure, or is it my eyes . All the best

                      Yepp, Deumer.
Here is another picture of a Deumer.

                        Pascal,

thank you for your comments and good news! It's nice to have an original shield and a makers name to go with! I didn't try to remove the back plate and I never will.
                        Thanks again!
