Lappland - shield

I've been asked by a friend of mine to publish some pictures of his Lappland-shield on the forum.

Its one original beauty from a true "barn - find" in the northern parts of Norway

According to my friend this is a rather seldom seen variant of the Lappland - shield.

Any one who could shed some lights on this one regarding availability

this looks like the 57 version. But the material isnt right.
I'm very openminded on these an have had at least 10 different ones.

The shield is not the 57version and was found on a military training ground in Norway around 1980, together with some Gebirgsj******228;ger - items. Thus, the provenience should be rather good.

But, are there some shields that are more seldom than others, or is it impossible to make any statistics about availability on different shields ? I guess that because these shields were made by the units themselves, that the hope of 110 % standard was difficult to reach.
