Saw there was a recent thread on a Cholm sheild, so I'm posting mine for review as well. Thanks!

IMO this is a fake shield made by Floch.
Have a look at this thread Fake Cholmshield by Floch
I think both shield are from the same type.

There are no original Cholm shields known with any maker mark on the metal or on the backing paper.

Thanks Pascal! That is very helpful. I have two Narvik and one Cholm. All similar...they seem to be high quality in the details, but I will look at the link provided. All three that I have are maker marked on the paper. So I that is a bad sign from what you are saying. Thanks for your help. They will be up on the bazaar.

            Cheers

one other thing I am ntoicing is the different shape of the pins on mine vs. the ones you have shown or referred me to look at, notably the FLOCH fakes. My pins have a different point on the prongs/pins that makes me think they were not made by floch??

I cannot post photos for now, my wife has the camera. but the shape is like this /\ as opposed to just /I

does that attempt at a sketch make sense?

              Thanks

                Hi Alex,
I don't know which shape the prong on your shield is but here is another example of a Floch fake with pointed prongs.

Ps. we were posting at the same time but I think this is the same shape you have on your shield.
