    Confirm Narvik Shield please

This shield was recently given the thumbs up by Pascal H. and would like to submit additional photos for other comments. The paper backing is loose, is it best to leave as is or re-glue? thanks.

          Hi Marvin,
Have you still got the pictures from the auction? If you still got then please post them.
The reason why I ask this, is that I am not really like this shield.
IMO this is a copy of an original Deumer shield.

Good Morning Pascal, auction pics too large to post. May I email to you?
Please forward email address. thanks much, I have seen this type shield on other posts and cannot tell much difference.

There are several points on how to recognise this type of shield. I will explain the 2 most typical ones.

                First the eagles head.
The eagles head looks a lot like the one from the Deumer shields but close and next to each other you will immediately notice the differences.

Secondly and what I think more typical (and easier to spot) is the difference in the bottom part of the wreath.
As you can see there is still some space left on the bar on this shield.
Here is that part on Marvins shield.

Here is the same part from a fake Narvik shield from my collection.

Now compare this part of the shield to an original Deumer type shield……

Now have another look at the picture from the auction.
Eagles head, unable to see clearly.
Wreath, looks like there is no space on the bar.

To me this picture is the perfect picture to deceive people. This was either done on purpose or by accident.
