Without seeing the reverse, I like both and see no problems on the obverse sides. Especially the first one is very desirable.

        Krim shields

        Hello,

I can only confirm what Frank says about these Krimshields => both look good and I would have no problem with them from what I see on the obverse, any chance on showing the reverse ?

        Cordial greetings,

Not comenting on authenticity but found that the eagle on the first shield looks like a rather well fed turkey!

                  Dear Francois,

Reverses are fine as well. Two known varieties:

-4 pins through 4 holes set in a rectangle pattern

                  -4 "crimps" on the borderlines.

                  Cheers, Frank

                      Hi all,
I need help on this Krim shield, thinking of buying it but has not seen this variation before on any threads.
Also the seller says the back is covered with leather?

                      Thanks in advance.

                          Dear Ian,

A perfectly good shield. This backing can be found on some shields and is better described as paper with an artificial leather structure.

                          Cheers, Frank

Hi Frank and Ian, here is the same type of backing on a Kuban.

                            Cheers, Ade.
