    Krim shield

Hi. May I have your opinion on this shield. Is it original ? If yes any ide who the maker could be ? It is magnetic. Im 90% sure its a good one, but got burned once on a shield and I don't want to do it again . Regards

I don't like this shield. Feeling like it's not zinc. In these photos it looks like a copy of Orth from a similar material.

Thank you Zheleznyi. I haven't seen previous post, sorry for posting it again.
I see few differents between your posted photo ( fake shield ) and one from post. One of them for example dates numbers " 4 " have longer legs on yours. " 2 " is more rounded. Im not an expert, it could be a copy, but not of the one you have posted. To many difference for me. I need to do more research. Regards

Of course, these are different shields. I showed a copy under the ORT shield. But yours can be made using a similar technology.

Sure looks like a good Deumer to me, Does the shield attract a magnet or is it actually the pins that do? If its a fake its bloody accurate.

I don't know Paul, as seller doesn't gave me an answer yet. Plate is magnetic not sure about the rest of it.
Zheleznyi I get your point now . Could you also let me know, if in your opinion this type of Deumer shield was made of zinc only ? Ive found out that this maker was using steel & zink for his Krim shields. Just can't confirm if specific material was used for specific types. Thanks

Yes but so is the Orth fake. From the front almost impossible to tell that it is a fake as the original dies were used by Souval after the war.

What will it do for us? Both zinc and, for example, brass will not react to the magnet. Note the color of your shield and the shield from the first message.

This type was both steel and zinc, but never an alloy of "yellow" metals
