General question. Were zinc campaign shields produced late in the war? I have a Demjansk which I've always suspected since it is zinc. Thanks.

It is my believe that not only late war shields were made out zinc but also that very early shields were made out of zinc.

There is no convincing evidence of the existence of zinc shield Demjansk. It is all the more strange to talk about the early period. It is possible that the units were made with classic stamps, but a separate type, in my opinion, is a fake. Quality is bad. The production of the Kuban began later and the quality is at a height in it.
