Krim, Narvik Etc Fake Or Real???

I have been sent some pictures by someone with what seems to be a Salesman Board.

I believe them to be all original and am 100% certain they are, but would like some affirmation.
    Thanks!

      Rolf,
      IMO both shields are original.
The Narvik shield is the type most probably made by Deumer.
I believe the Krim shield is a late shield made by Friedrich Orth.

        Boards

All The boards like this one that I have seen were all Deumer produced items at the end of the war for US soldier's souviner and labeled by Deumer. Pascal, have you seen another company doing this?

Sorry Ron must have missed this thread . I agree with you and I also only know Deumer produced items on these sample boards that's why I am puzzeled by the FO Krimshield on this board .

From what I can see this board is exactly the same as another board I know of down to the order and the number of the items.

Krim Shield has to be a Deumer. They were the company that produced these boards and even marked the boards with their company logo. I have had several of these boards with this style Krim shield directly from the veterans who remembered buying them in Germany at the end of the war complete with the buyer's guide to medals on the reverse. Either Deumer got their shields from Orth or sold their shields to other companies.

I don't think that this type of shield is made by Deumer. You can find on this type of shield sometimes the makermark from FO.

The only type of shield I have seen on these sample boards is this type of shield.

As for the fact that Deumer got their shields from Orth to use on their sample boards I never heard of that before and I don't know.

I would guess that (if there was in fact a Deumer Krim shield on the board at one time) somehow it was removed, and between then and now someone replaced it with this fo, thinking that no-one (except Pascal) would know the difference

I highly doubt that. The man I bought this from received it from the Veteran's estate sale with the correct documentation.

I would never say "doubt" in this hobby. Just ask Frank H. He found that an EK1 his father owned was a post war purchase

This shield is original to the board and that's about that. The reason I said doubt was because of the insinuation that somebody was able to resew it to the board along with the rest of the medals is wrong.
