What do you all think of this Krim?

    Hi all,

Looking to snap this one up...but as far as badges are concerned, I'm least familiar with Krim shields...

Looks like the metal backing plate is missing

good idea with the poll...but I would not rely on the anonomously (sp.?) given votes only of course, you need to go by the authenticated answers...Cheers and good luck, Torsten.

Good angle Torsten, I find I get more answers in a Poll though but you are correct, I am considering written answers, besides which, what do you think?

h009291, interested to know, is it common for the metal plate to go missing on these? does it mean its just lost or again a repro?

Getting quite a few on the repro/non standard camp too, what parts of the badge are non-standard, is it the eagle?

No it does not necessarily mean that it's a repro. It's just that this piece could have been messed with or the cloth added after the war. Normally the prongs go through the cloth, then go through a backing plate, then bent to hold the cloth between the two for attachment to a uniform.

Looks indeed as if the backplate is missing. The shield however is 100% original and in good condition as well.

I will post the Floch fake which is based on this original.
