LW question ?

Hello ,


Where LW aircrew members who where forced to land after enemy lines ( lets say a shot down He 111 crew on the eastern front ) and made it back towards the own german lines in several days entitled to receive the LW ground combat badge ( Erdkampfabzeichen ) or a similar award ?

This Badge was for the ground troops of the Luftwaffe Rreplacement Army which included infantry,armour and parachute troops. To earn this badge one had to be in three actions on different days. So I guess some crews could be up for the badge if they had to fight their way back across enemy lines

I have read many accounts of LW pilots going down behind enemy lines, only to fight their way back to their side. None of these accounts mentioned any GCB awards.
