Help with German Eagle Medal.

First off I am new here and want to say hello to everyone. I have this medal which was a GI bringback. It appears to be a 1943 style Order of the German Eagle 2nd Class with Star. My Question is: Is this authentic? Also, if anyone had any idea of it's value. Thanks in advance for your help.
