German Cross in Gold Cloth version

Hello everyone!
I am wondering if anyone can help me, in my research I have noticed two different dates for the introduction of the Cloth Version of the German Cross In Gold. June 5, 1942 and April 7, 1943. I am just wondering which one is the correct date.

Hi Jon,

On 7 April 1943 (H.M.1943, S.211, 7 April 1943), the manufacture and wear of an embroidered version was authorized for combat wear.

Do you know why some sources would say June 5,1942 instead of April 7,1943? Could it be because they started making them in June and then authorized them in April, or something like that?

I have no explanation for the other date, what I am sure is that the date I gave you is the Official date/order
