DAF Reference Material

I recently picked up a DAF stickpin in gold that was reportedly awarded to the geschaftfuehrer of "model factories" that had achieved some level of industrial distinction. Do any of you know of a reference book that provides some detail on the DAF and its awards? I would like to know how many of these stickpins were given out and what exactly for, as they all seem to have a serial number.

Your pin is a rare one. I suggest you pick up a copy of the Angolia/Littlejohn book on The Labor Organizations of the Reich. Your pin is described on page 533 as the Golden Honor Pin of the DAF. It is solid gold and should have a RZM number and serial number on the reverse. It was presented in a small red case along with a Besitzurkunde signed by Dr. Robert Ley.

Thanks for the info. I should have realized that Angolia might have published something on the subject, as he has covered literally all of the Third Reich subjects in one volume or the other.
