    Opinions on the EK2 please?

Pardon for the pics. Claimed to be a 60s S&L magnetic. You guys think it's good?
    TIA

Difficult to judge on these poor pics... frame looks sandblasted, so would say a more modern one.

As Mathijs said, hard to be sure from these pics!
It certainly looks like an S&L, if its magnetic it should be from no later than the mid 70's, the ribbon ring is a replacement by the looks of it, and the way the suspension loop has been soldered is poor, so looks like a repair or replacement too!!
Unless its dirt cheap I wouldn't bother, theres plenty of nicer examples out there!!

I said eff it and bought this one. US$60. From ebay so I have the option to return it without hassle. As so as I opened the package I got a good vibe. Went straight to my magnet and it hit hard. Looked at the edges; yep, there are seams. Looks to be just what I wanted.
First three images are unaltered except for three different camera settings.

These images are with the contrast and brightness altered a bit.
Just now noticing the shiny edge of the '9' on 1939.
Again, an alleged 1960s S&L piece.
            Edge/seam images forthcoming.

                Hi Eric!!
Well, it looks like a good S&L!!
It looks like the core has moved a little in the frame, where the "9" in 1939 is....
Also looks like the frame beading is quite flawed on the 9 O'clock arm??
Bit of excessive soldering on the suspension loop, but looks like the silver finish was applied after, so must have left the factory like that!
                Nice core details!!!
