    Grubenwehr-Ehrenzeichen 1957

    Hi guys.
Tell me, who is the manufacturer and what period of production?

    Hello!!
It is an S&L, and quite an early one, from the 60's
It is however on the wrong ribbon, the mine rescue ribbon has a white band at the edges
    Here is mine for comparison..............

      Thank you Nigel!
      Is this the earliest production?

There is not much difference between the earliest, and those from a few years later, a slightly two-tone look to the silver finish on the earliest ones!!

Interesting. I do have two postwar made swastika variants as well. A very early made medal and a later made piece. There is not very much difference. Although I’ve made the same observation on the matt silver finish of the earliest ones.
