I believe from comparing it to the reference thread in this forum that it is from the Early Period 60-63.

The Destroyer Badge has the Very Early hardware setup while the Minesweeper has the same hardware as the Schnellboot.

Too me it appears that the vet never wore these badges.

They still retain the bright S&L finish.

I hesitate to call them mint but they are as good as it gets.

Just a superb grouping in hand. I'm glad I spent the money to acquire it.

Very nice Wayne.....condition is excellent!!!!
I think your time period is bang on!!
Some vets bought the 57 replacement badges not to wear, just to keep...some displayed them in cases etc.
Other vets did wear them at re-union's etc.
Always interesting to hear peoples/collectors views as to wether they prefer the mint pieces or the worn ones.......or both!!!
