1957 Rk case ?

Hi guys, i got this case in a deal with some other stuff that isnt 57' related, seller told me it is a 1957 RK Case, it has a little tear in the fabric on the lid as can be seen.
Hope you guys can help me out ?

And what value does something like this represent ?

It looks like a case for a 57 RK, and possibly an early one!
If the bottom edges are bevelled, then it is an early example, if the base is totally flat, then its a little later

Dealer prices are usually around 125euro for an early case ,

If an early case dealer price 175 Euros and up.

As an aside I bought an early case from Kai Winkler during one of his super duper sales a while back.

Paid I believe 230 Euros and was glad to get it at that price.

I have purchased early cases from Mathijs and have paid between 150 to 175 Euros.

I’ve bought a few cases and never paid more than 125 Euro, some dealers may ask higher, as with Huss, but it’s upto you, if you want it then fair play!!

You would be hard pressed these days to buy an early case for 125 Euros unless it was from a friend.

A later made case maybe depending on the source.

I have purchased early cases from Mathijs and have paid between 150 to 175 Euros.

I used to sell mid-production cases for 100-125 Euro. And early ones between 150-175 Euro - depending on condition.
I priced them too cheap as dealers want at least 250+ Euro for a early one ...
