Cross is good, but the case is "doubtful"

Hello Gents,

This cross has just arrived, what do you think? Magnetic, three piece construction.

Certainly nothing wrong with the cross, a nice early S&L.....
The case.....possibly period, as it appears to be of good quality and have some age to it!!
Non of the parts of the case look to match any known S&L case, so its doubtful its from them, but it could have been provided by a retailer??
