Hi,

Early examples have four horizontal prongs, and later ones have two horizontal prongs. I am not a fan of the finish on this one. I have a later 2 prong example, and it has a nice smooth finish with just a few specs, almost like the earlier examples.

Some of the later finishes just don't "crank my tractor"!

What you say is quite right Jeff, the later finishes of nearly all 57 pieces don't match the early ones in terms of quality.....in a way. similar to early and late wartime pieces I guess?
Having said that, If I didn't have a Heer clasp, I would be happy enough with this one!!
