Thanks for showing these KVK, we sometimes forget that many vets didn't buy the new form 57ers, preferring instead to de-Nazify their original awards to make them wearable!!
Two good examples here!!
I prefer the types like the KVK1, where something has been added to cover the Swastika, rather than just grinding off the Swaz altogether!!!

In fact, we can see from this ad from "Der Spiegel" in early 1958 (right below an ad from Sedlatzek in the same issue) that there were denazification services available for wartime awards.
