The ribbon is 100% fake ... its the one commonly found on eBay, with the ties at the end.
This one has work done on it ( the outer edges have been "trimmed" to give it a worn look ).

As to case, I'm still convinced its period, hence not Souval and not St&L, could be privately made ?

All in all, too many bells are ringing to splash out 850+ Euro ....

      Hi Mathijs!!
Thanks for confirming my doubts on the ribbon, and I agree, too many red flags to pay any kind of BIG money for the set!!
Interesting to hear your thoughts on the case, it could be period, but it still looks quite "new" to my eyes??
Probably need it in hand to know for sure???

IMO the ribbon is good, since it does seem to have the correct double looped ends. It still kinda looks like someone tried to age it... the pics are too bad to tell anything for certain though.
I can't say anything about the oaks.... a super high priced cross with such poor pics

Whatever it is though, the pricing is far off. Even if it was attributed, it's way too much IMO.

Despite the high price it has sold... seems like we all have to adjust to new prices

            Regards,
            Alex
