This is the second group I got from the same guy which Nick also gave me the lead to this particular group.

Most people would have heard or seen this guy.

Born 1907
Died 1994

Fought from Poland, France thru Russia.

I/C 2nd and 1st Class - 10/28/39
Wound Badge - Don't have the dates but he was awarded the black, silver and gold.
Eastern Front Medal
Infantry Assault Badge
German Cross in Gold as a Hauptmann - 5/19/42
K/C as a Hauptmann - 8/25/42
Oaks as Oberst - 5/14/44

Again, can't express how happy I am to include another fantastic group in my collection.

This group shows obvious use and wear.

His RK with oaks. I believe the oaks has the "800" stamped on the reverse but can't confirm 100% as even with magnifying glass, my eyes must be getting worse. I'm not showing details of the case unless you request it.

Now for some provenance of him actually wearing the medal chain and RK.

I don't think the silver would badge was included because it was a wartime denazified one and I'm sure it was sold with the wartime items.
