Hi all,

A big thanks to Nick who gave me the heads up for this group. Can't thank him enough!

This person did not win the KC but he is a German Cross in Gold holder and I didn't know anything about him and did a little search.

Born in 1911 and his naval career started in 1931 all the way through the Bundeswehr but I don't know when he retired. Hans Trummer took command of 7th S-Flotilla in June 1942 and was stationed in the Mediterranean.

What I did find out was he was captain of Zerstorer 1 (Jan 58 thru March 59) which was the converted American destroyer USS Anthony, before Werner Winter was captain.

Fantastic group which I'm very proud to own.

Thanks for Jeff giving me an education about DKiG's. I thought this one was a Deschler because I already have one but I was informed it is a Deumer. So, up now is his cased Deumer.

Some really nice and early pieces in there!!
Pick of the bunch for me is the very rare Deumer screwback EK1, only the 3rd I've ever seen!!!
The medal bar is great, the Italian valor medal appears to be by the same maker as the one I have, possibly Deumer, but not sure on that!!
Lovely Deumer DK, badges, chain etc etc.
Excellent, especially with a name to go with the group!!!!
