1957 wound badge ??

Would this by chance be a 1957 Would badge, silver grade maybe, looks like there is remnants of silver on the back.

Yes, it is a 57 WB, a later S&L made piece, but it may have been artificially aged, as I have never seen a late 57 WB in that condition, having lost so much of its original finish!!

I guess that depends wether the Gold colour we can see is the remains of an applied finish, or the bare metal of the badge itself??
From the pics it looks like bare metal to me??
