Just picked up another postwar variant of the Romanian Crusade Against Communism medal. This time it's the variant with the "additional rays" on the reverse.
This medals also shows differences on the fingers of the hand which is holding the sword. Such slight variations on postwar medals are common on other medals as well (e.g. SS Long service medal) Souval and S&L were both making these with only slight differences in the details. The overall finish and feeling of the medal in the middle reminds me more of a S&L made product than S&L. I believe it might be very likely that the variant in the middle might actually be a S&L variant instead of a different reverse side die from Souval.
Best regards,
Alex
