Deumer marked "3" KVK 1st class without Swords - wartime conversion

    Hello,

in past weeks I haven't time to post anything here (forgive me that... but I don't miss any thread ) and now at last I have find some to post my new gem

It's a very early Deumer KVK 1st class without Swords !!! I have been waiting for such piece for a veeeery long time...

The cross (marked "3") itself is a wartime leftover (with added postwar "1939" caps on it), as like the wire catch.
Hingeblock is a resolded postwar (S&L production) - the pin came from the same source as I think?

I'm very happy to have it

              Hi Patryk!!!
Wonderful early KVK, and in the much rare "without swords" version!!
I am still missing one from my own collection, they don't turn up very often, but when they do, I always seem to miss out...maybe one day!!!
Anyway, back to your piece....great "look" to it, I think these two piece KVK1's with the wartime leftover bodies are great, a real link between TR and 57!!
It is only very rarely you see one in the same condition as it left the Deumer factory, as the finish on the zinc body has pretty much gone on most examples, while the finish on the tombak "1939" central disc, is still good, this does give a nice 2 tone effect which I like!!!!

                  Hi Patryk,

This is actually the first time I saw one. Wonderful pickup Patryk, you should be happy.

                  Regards,
                  Rudy

                    Hi Patryk,

First time I have seen the without swords version as well, in the early Deumer. There are a few of the swords version floating around. As Nigel said, yours still has a good amount of the finish remaining. Nothing like a true late war zinker with a little bit of "boil"!

                    Best,

                    Jeff

Thank you all for your comments !!!

It's the first time I saw such piece too... so I just couldn't say "no"

I agree that the double-look finish between zinc and the plate is wonderful, I love it !!!

                        Hello Borzadow,
very, very nice piece . I also have such an example, but you are right, they are extremly rare .

                        best regards

                          Hi Patryk,

that's a wonderful and very interesting piece. It just screams history and is a great combination of wartime to postwar period. Very nice. It's great to see a rare "without swords" version
I have a very similar but vaulted KVK 1st class "with swords" in a 57er grouping.

                          Best regards,
                          Alex

Lucky enough to have one of these with all the silver finish in place.
