I don't have one myself Jeff!!
I would love to!!! I have seen a couple, one owned by Maciej, and the one I just showed which was sold on E-bay, at the time I wasn't sure it was the real deal, so I didn't bid on it......BIG mistake!!!
I have been looking at the way medal bars are made, materials used etc. I hope one day to be able to identify the different retailers and makers...

Would be good information to have, let me know if I can assist in anyway. I checked behind the felt on the medal bars I have, and nothing unusual to be found. The metal back plate and either white or black cloth which the ribbon for each medal is sewn to.

      Best,

      Jeff

That would be great Jeff, any info from anyone who owns a medalbar is helpful!!!
I will start a new thread soon, and we can pool our info there!!
Most makers/retailers used the same backing cloth, some sewn, some glued, the same bar assembly with pins types and catches being quite easy to spot, and the way the ribbons themselves were formed also seems quite unique to each maker (even if I don't know who made what yet!!)

Another great pickup Nigel. I like Jeff's description for you "Medal Whisperer". Love it!
