I would guess less than half what the final selling price becomes. Maybe I am wrong, however we will probably never know.

      Nigel,
Don't I wish. You might have me mistaken for someone with deep pockets. Nope, not this collector. Food and amenities took a back seat quite often.
Being in my 51st year of collecting now I learned how to parlay and trade up over time.
Nope, my wallet is still thin and my pockets have bigger holes at the bottom than at the top.
Now that I'm on a fixed income (retired), food has become more important, along with a fine cigar and bourbon on ocassion.
      All the best.
      Tony

It was worth it for a collection like that. I never tire of that Photo Tiger, mate, I'd love just that swaz RK , but I'll stick with my B frame S&L and Souval swazes.

            Hi Tony!!
My comment wasn't aimed at you personally!!
I just meant here we are discussing a 57 RK that might go for a thousand Euro's.....which is a big deal for 57 collectors, but TR collectors I guess are used to dealing with much bigger numbers when it comes to wartime RK's, wether they can afford them or not the reality is, unless you drop on bargain of the century, we all know TR RK's are very expensive compared with even the most desirable 57er!!

I feel sorry for the guy who put 1200 Euro's on it in the last few seconds, and still didn't win it!!!

                            Agreed, way too much!!
But the benchmark has now been set for a Deumer RK...sometimes we collectors are our own worst enemy!!!

I purchased mine rather recently as a complete set for less than that amount, I guess it was a fair price. It is not silver content stamped, so the question is how much does the "835" content add to the pricing equation? Mathijs, any comment?

                              Best,

                                Hi Jeff!
Personally, I would much rather have a complete set, silver or no silver than a cross without case, ribbon & loop??
We don't really know how many RK's Deumer made, and what percentage of those are 835 silver types......
Obviously the silver version is going to be more desirable to most collectors!!!
                                The BIG question is.......
                                Who won it????
Despite us all saying it went too high....its still a beautiful RK!!!!
