Really nice ribbon bar, with a scarce combination of awards!!!
Both Police crosses are very rare to find together, I would love to have the matching medal bar!!!
The Friedrich August cross is the combatants version isn't it, I thought the non-combatants version had the colours reversed.....red with blue stripes??
Anyway, super bar, the mini devices are really nice quality, and the bar itself looks to be early period!!
    Great addition to your collection!!!!!!!!

            Hello,
this medal bar combines WWI, WWII and 1957 - a true piece of history.

            - Friedrich August Kreuz 2nd class, original WWI piece
            - Kriegsverdienstkreuz ohne Schwerter, original WWII piece, professional denazified
            - Police Service Crosses, very early 57er pieces

            best regards

Great to see the full size bar too.....
The Police medals look to be very early ones of the best quality!!
I really like bars that combine earlier medals from Imperial / Weimar etc. with 57ers, always makes for great looking combinations!!!!!!
              -Nigel

              PS......excellent de-nazification of the KVK2......very neatly done!!!

                    Question -

Forgive me for offering a digression, but

Why the two Police long service cross bars? Would not one supersede the other?

I can readily understand stacking the classes of merit or bravery awards but doing that with service awards seems redundant. Clearly one would not have earned one without the other. Was there anything that addressed this topic in the guidelines for wearing awards?

When it comes to postwar veterans bars, they had on there pretty much whatever they wanted, many times, if they won it, they wore it!!!
Guidelines were indeed in place to regulate such things, but only BW parade bars would be scrutinised, non BW serving vet 's mostly went their own way, with more than one grade being worn, medals in the wrong order, and even officially verboten medals also being worn!!
The retailers who made up and sold the bars seemed to have little or no concern for regulations either!!
