If its the one i'm thinking of Mathijs, isn't it a converted piece, with Oakleaves added later??
I am not sure it left the Souval factory as we see it now???

        @Gary....
It is basically a normal Souval RK, that has had the Swastika removed, and Oakleaves added instead!
Heres a close-up of the core, which Mathijs posted some years ago........

If you look closely, around the edges of the oakleaves, you can see where the Swastika has been removed, not too neatly, which is one reason I doubt it is factory done, if Souval had wanted to convert an RK to 57 style, they could have added oakleaves to a blank core, rather than hacking off the Swastika from a normal core!
With their close connections to S&L, you would have thought an oakleaf core could have been bought from S&L and suitably adapted as an alternative??
I have studied core paint from various makers, and this type doesn't appear to match Souval's normal paint type?
It still could be a Souval factory finished product, but for the reasons mentioned above, I am doubtful!

          Hi Nigel
So looking at it, who produced these, not Souval then, who??
As said, it's a little rough to say the least, but why, as you said, Souval could probably produce or buy in a 57er core, don't get the reason, unless a one off for a vet 😕

Well the RK itself is certainly a Souval product, its a question of who did the alteration and when?
My feeling is a vet had it done?
Its still a great piece, and unique as far as we know!!!!!!!

              Totally agree, a fantastic piece!
And unless there are quite a number of these in existence I would also agree vet altered!
Unusual and nice to see though, a first for me 😀
              Thanks Nigel 😉

I remember this one. I think Matthieu thought it factory altered because of the matching paint work, but I may be well and truly guessing about that.

Correct, it came with other badges as well, but the cross itself was interesting enough to spend my money on it .
