    very strange ribbon bar

    Hello,
I got a picture with a very strange ribbon bar on it, please take look .

    I would say:

    - oberserver badge
    - EK2
    - ground assault badge
    - wound badge in black

    - tank destruction badge
    - EK1
    - close combat clasp in bronze

Does anybody have a logical explanation for the sequence of the awards?

If I would see it on ebay, I would say pure fantasy .

    best regards
    Pattex

Does the one in between the black wound badge and EK2 look like a DKiG? on the top row???

      Regards,

I think, that there is no DK.

The sequence of the awards is more then strange.

PS: No better pictures possible .

          It is very strange!!
It could be assembled by the vet himself, but he would surely know, if not the exact order, then at least a more accurate version than that??
Never seen a vet wearing such an "out of order" bar!!

Maybe the bars should be flip flopped? Would make more sense, but still be rather strange

Another collector told me, that perhaps this is the sequence of the dates of bestowals.

That is surely not rule-consistent but sounds not impossible.

That was a common practice with American troops...regs were much more loosely enforced during WWII, and ribbons were often just put on in the order of receipt...but I have not seen it so much in German ribbons, or post-war stacks. Things were hectic during the war, but I imagine by 1957 regulations were being enforced pretty hard again

Enforced onto a non-serving veteran or retiree? I'd have no problems with the bar if accompanied by the photo or received by the vet himself(or his direct family).
